She absolutely loved Celine Dion in any language.
As an animal lover she took in any pet that needed a home. Her chihuahua Lila Bear spent 14+ years with her and they often wore matching outfits.
She loved decorating her home for each and every holiday. She even had a holiday trees for all of them.
She taught new and expecting moms English as a second language and how to properly care for and feed their babies. She also taught them that reading was important from the womb to the class room .

Olga Rosa Garcia, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away on April 2, 2024, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 70. She was born on April 1, 1954, in Houston, Texas, to Juan and Olga Duarte. She was raised in Near Northside Houston where she attended Jeff Davis High School and developed lifelong friendships.
She is survived by her children, Laura, Olga, Christopher, and Joe. Her grandchildren Kayla, Sara, Ada, Mariano (Dezi), Christopher II, Christian, Lia, Mia, Diego, and Enrique. Her great grandchildren Owen, Savannah, Christopher III, Mariano (Leo), and Caleb. As well as her siblings, Margaret, Haidee, Agelia, Juan, Xenia, and Eduardo. Together, they shared countless memories and supported one another through life's journey.
Family was of utmost importance to Olga and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories.
In addition to being a dedicated mother and grandmother, Olga had a passion for teaching. She selflessly imparted her knowledge, teaching mothers English as a second language and educating them on the importance of reading from the womb to the classroom. Olga also had a gift for conversation and loved to engage in lively discussions, never meeting a stranger she couldn't connect with.
Olga was a creative soul who found joy in various hobbies, especially arts and crafts. She also had a special talent for decorating and would adorn her home beautifully and creatively for every holiday, most even had a dedicated tree.
Olga (Rosie) will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, unwavering love for her family, and her ability to brighten any room with her infectious laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and the importance of connection.
A memorial service to celebrate Olga's life will be held at a later date.
