Nteboheng Kelebohile Patricia Ntebo Ngwenya, affectionately known as Ntebo, was born on May 13, 1978, at Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg South, South Africa. She passed away peacefully on January 25, 2025, in Witbank, eMalahleni, South Africa.
Ntebo grew up in a challenging environment, raised by her foster mother, Constance Kebantshitse Rapitso, after being given up by her birth mother shortly after birth. Her childhood was marked by hardship, including experiences of trauma and the struggles of coming from a poverty-stricken family. Despite these challenges, she demonstrated remarkable resilience and strength throughout her life.
Ntebo received her education at several schools, including Atamelang Primary School, Montshiwa Higher Primary School, and Centurion Academy. She pursued her higher education at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she earned a professional degree. Her commitment to personal growth and mental well-being was evident in her academic achievements.
In 2005, Ntebo married her university sweetheart, Themba Ngwenya, and together they welcomed their first daughter, Nomusa, in the same year. She later had two more daughters, Zinhle and Buhle, and two sons, Ntando and Ndumiso. Her family was her pride and joy, and she devoted herself to being a pillar of strength for them.
Ntebo was known for her warm smile, kindness, and unwavering faith in God. She embraced spirituality and often expressed her love for Jesus through prayer and positive affirmations. Her favorite quote, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” reflected her optimistic outlook on life.
Despite facing personal struggles, including a psychiatric disorder, Ntebo remained steadfast in her belief that life becomes what one makes of it. Her courage and humility inspired those around her, and she had a profound impact on her friends and family, showing them the existence of true love through her selfless and sacrificial nature.
Ntebo leaves behind her loving husband, Themba, her children—Nomusa, Zinhle, Buhle, Ntando, and Ndumiso—and her devoted mother. She will be remembered for her genuine warmth, her caring spirit, and her unwavering support for others. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
