Norman F. Crawford passed away January 17, 2023 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen MA. He was born in Keene Valley NY February 14, 1934. He was the son of Marshall and Leona (Williams) Crawford. Norman joined the US Navy soon after graduating from Port Henry High School in 1952. He married Marion Laware June 22, 1955 and they had four children: Vicki, Scott, Keith and Tina.
He was a proud veteran who spent 20 years on active duty as a Chief Hospital Corpsman attaining the rank of HMC. He received numerous medals, citations and proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. He transferred to Fleet Reserve in 1972 spending 10 years on inactive duty until his USN retirement in 1982.
In his subsequent civilian life, he returned to New York where he met and married his second wife Susan Eldridge April 22, 1972 in Glens Falls NY. They eventually moved to Maine to start his own cryogenics, refrigeration and special gases business. He also went back to college and got his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. After six years in Kennebunkport ME he and Susan moved back to Keeseville NY where he lived for the past 35 years.
Norman was affectionately nicknamed "Bubby" by his sister Joan which was quickly adopted by the entire family, relatives & friends.
He enjoyed hobbies of wood carving, painting and renovating houses, all of which he was very skilled. He was a rare combination of a Jack of all trades and master of many.
In August 2022 he sold his home in Keeseville NY and moved to Haverhill MA to live with his son Keith.

Survived by son Keith of Haverhill MA, sister Joan (Crawford) Daby of Port Henry NY, sister Cheryl (Potter) Adams of Indian Trail NC, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Pre-deceased by his parents, wife Susan, daughters Vicki and Tina, son Scott and his sister Colleen (Potter) Burton.
Burial will take place at the Norton cemetery in Keene NY at a later date to be determined.
