NOKWANDA "CONNIE" VUKAPI

October 25, 1980 - July 26, 2024

Nokwanda "Connie" Vukapi, a loving, passionate, dedicated, and extrovert soul with a bubbly personality, passed away on July 26, 2024. She was born on October 25, 1980, in Lusikisiki, South Africa. Nokwanda was most recently living in Westcliff, Randburg, South Africa.

Family meant everything to Nokwanda, and she loved nothing more than spending time with her loved ones and hustling for a better life. Her killer smile and ability to speak her mind left a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Nokwanda pursued her education at Mzintlaza Junior Secondary School and matriculated from Ben Mali High School. She further obtained her National Diploma in Paralegal Studies at UCT. Throughout her life, she worked in various industries, including attorneys, insurance, administration, and tracing.

One of Nokwanda's favorite quotes was, "Failure is not the end but a learning curve." She took pride in owning her own home and giving birth to her last-born daughter, Asimubonge.

Nokwanda was in a long-standing relationship with Sakhile Tabede. Together, they built a beautiful life and cherished their time together.

She leaves behind a legacy of three daughters: Azande, the late Kwenzi, and her youngest, Asimubonge. Nokwanda was also a doting grandmother to Oluthando, Siyasanga, and Athayanda.

Survived by her mother and four sisters, Nokwanda's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family members. Her mother, Nombuyekezo, and sisters Sindiswa, Kholiswa, and Bongeka will forever cherish the memories they shared.

Nokwanda was actively involved in several community organizations, including Effingham Community Outreach, Durban North NGO, APPS Community Outreach, Sizonqoba Society, Thubalethu Club, Build It Club, and Siphosethu Society. Her dedication and leadership roles within these organizations made a significant impact on the community she served.

She was a member of the Anglican Church, Diocese of Mzimvubu, Epiphany Branch, where she found strength and solace in her faith.

Nokwanda "Connie" Vukapi will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious energy, love for her family, and commitment to her community will forever be remembered.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
