Nilia Malika Harrison Tippitt, born August 22, 1974, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away on February 18, 2025. Though her time on this earth was too short, the love, laughter, and wisdom she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Nilia was one of the most misunderstood yet gentle souls, always putting others before herself. She would give the shirt off her back to help anyone, never hesitating to sacrifice for those she loved. A devoted mother and grandmother, she made sure her grandchildren were always taken care of, no matter how she felt or what she was going through. They were her world, and she would give them her last without a second thought.

She was the life of the party, the funniest person you’d ever meet, and the one who could turn any tough moment into laughter. Even in times of stress, she had a way of making everything feel better—always reminding her loved ones to pray and trust that things would get better. No matter how far apart, she always found a way to remind her family that she was there for them.

Nilia leaves behind a loving family who will carry on her memory: her two sons, Dawntaye Fizer and Roy Jr. Tippitt; her son-in-law, Jarred Brumfield; her three daughters, Qwayshana Moore, Qwauniece Tippitt, and Porsche Brumfield; and a host of grandchildren who were the light of her life. She is also survived by 11 brothers and sisters, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish her memory forever.

Her legacy is one of love, selflessness, and unwavering strength. Though she may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the joy she brought to so many.
