Obituary for Nicolas “Buddy” Peterson
September 2, 1992 – April 7, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nicolas “Buddy” Peterson on April 7, 2026. Born on September 2, 1992, Buddy was a beloved son, brother, and friend whose life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion to God.

Buddy lived his life rooted deeply in the teachings of the Catholic faith. He carried a quiet strength and unwavering belief in the Lord, finding comfort and guidance through prayer, scripture, and the sacraments. His faith was not only something he practiced, but something he lived—through kindness, compassion, and a genuine love for others. He reminded those around him of God’s grace through both his words and his actions.

He had a warm spirit and a generous heart, always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply sit beside someone in need. Buddy’s laughter and presence brought light into every room, and his love for his family was steadfast and unconditional. He cherished the time spent with loved ones, creating memories filled with joy, humor, and deep connection.

While we mourn the loss of Buddy here on earth, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 11:25, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” We trust that Buddy has been welcomed into the arms of our Lord, where he is at peace, free from pain, and surrounded by everlasting love.

Buddy is survived by his mother, Ami Peterson; his brother, Ben Peterson; his sister-in-law, Kenzey Peterson; and his nephew, Brendan Peterson, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Sunday, April 12th at 1:30 PM via Zoom, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life, pray for the repose of his soul, and commend him to the mercy of God.
