Nic was a protector, a devoted son and father. He loved with his whole heart and always left you feeling his love. You never questioned where you stood with him.

Nicholas Johan Vaudine Marron, a precious son, beloved grandson, nephew and cousin, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 40. He was born on April 8, 1984, in Nanaimo, BC, Canada, and most recently resided in Roberts Creek, BC, Canada.
Nicholas was a jack of all trades, possessing many talents and hobbies. He had a gift for fixing things and could mend anything that was broken. As an excellent cook, he took great pride in preparing his homemade pho, delighting the taste buds of those fortunate enough to savor his culinary creations.
Music was a constant presence in Nicholas's life. He had a deep appreciation for a wide range of bands and musical artists, and it was not uncommon to hear him singing or whistling a tune. His love for music brought joy to those around him.
Those who knew Nicholas will remember his defining characteristics of kindness, humor, and charm. He was a protector, always looking out for his loved ones. His heart overflowed with love, and he made sure everyone around him felt his unwavering affection. One never questioned where they stood with Nicholas; his love was steadfast and unconditional.
Nicholas's greatest joy in life was his nine-year-old daughter, Karma, and his mother, Pam. He cherished the time spent with them and had an unbreakable bond. Family meant everything to Nicholas, and his love for them knew no bounds.
One of Nicholas's favorite places in the world was sitting on a beach, watching the sun set, surrounded by the people he loved. It was in those moments that he found peace and contentment.
Nicholas will be sorely missed but forever remembered for his impactful presence in the lives of others. He made meaningful connections and left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Nicholas is predeceased by his step dad Stan Cottrell and is survived by his mother, Pam Marron Cottrell, and his beloved daughter, Karma. May his soul find eternal rest, and may his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
A celebration of life for Nic will be held at a later date, details to come.
