He had so much love for his guinea pigs, Sweetie Pie, Squeeks, Teddy and Ducky. Often the way he would talk about them people could mistake them for being his children.

Nicholas Allen Enyart Sr., known affectionately as Nick, left this world on October 23, 2024, at the age of 38. Born on May 17, 1986, in Peru, Indiana, Nick was a lifelong resident of his beloved hometown, where he also passed away, surrounded by the love of his family and the memories of a life well-lived.
Nick was the cherished son of Reja L. Enyart and Timothy A. Enyart. His life was a tapestry of close-knit family ties, including his treasured children, Evelyn, Nicholas Jr., Madilynn, and his infant son Noah Allen Enyart, who preceded him in death. He was a beloved brother to Metea Osborne (partner Charles Purnell) of Swayzee, and Taylor R. Dewitt of Peru. His step-siblings, Eric, Tony, and Cherees Townsend, also held a special place in his heart.
Nick's extended family was a source of great joy and support throughout his life. He was a nephew to Rick (Michelle) Gay of Knoxville, TN, Stanley (Jennie) Reynolds of Shelbyville, Roberta (Delon) Rumfelt of Marion, Beth Enyart, Jerilyn (Dwayne) Sievers, and Lisa Braswell, all of Peru. He was an adoring uncle to Kiearra Springer, Atlantis Osborne, Leeland Dewitt, and Faeezah Summers. His cousins, Jessica Day, Allicia (Gabe) Fetters, Shelley Pugh (Zach Downhour), Nathan (Heather) Lester, Ian (Ashley) Gay, and Austin Gay, will miss his presence at family gatherings. The special moments and conversations of life will never forgot by Tanner McReynolds
Nick was blessed with the love of his in-laws, Danielle and Robin Manriquez and Terry and Peggy Hopper. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Courtney, his infant son Noah, his stepfather Kerry Townsend, and his grandparents David and Betty Livengood, Melvin Myers, and Esther McLay Sailors. His aunts Janet McNabb and Susan Wilburn, and uncle Greg Enyart had gone before him.
A proud graduate of Peru High School, Nick carried with him the spirit of his youth throughout his life. He was a man of many passions, with a special love for baseball, riding dirt bikes, and mastering the skills taught by his Grandpa David. These interests were more than hobbies; they were the threads that wove the fabric of his character—resilient, adventurous, and dedicated.
Nick's greatest accomplishments were not measured in accolades or professional milestones, but in the love he shared with his wife, Courtney, and the joy he found in fatherhood. He strived to be the best dad possible, determined to provide his children with a life filled with opportunities and happiness. His efforts were a testament to his faith-filled nature, his boundless passion for life, and his courageous heart.
Those who knew Nick would describe him as a man who lived with conviction and love. His strength of character was matched only by his generosity of spirit. He faced life's challenges with a courage that inspired all who were lucky enough to know him, and his passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all those who were touched by his presence.
Nicholas Allen Enyart Sr.'s life was a beacon of what it means to live fully and love deeply. As we bid farewell to Nick, we carry forward the light he shone on all our lives. He will be remembered not for the length of his time on earth but for the depth of the impact he made on those around him. Rest in peace, dear Nick, until we meet again. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 Abundant Life, 105 S. Benton St. in Peru, Indiana at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am till the start of services.
