Nereida Jimenez, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on December 14, 1942, in Aibonito, Puerto Rico, she made her home in the Bronx, NY, where she cherished her life surrounded by family and friends.

Nereida was a vibrant soul who loved hosting family gatherings, where her infectious laughter and warm spirit brought everyone together. She had a love of bingo and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, often enjoying trips with the building and her daughters. Her favorite foods included traditional Puerto Rican dishes such as rice and beans, pastelles, and stews which she delighted in preparing for family meals.

Her daughters recall Nereida had a special fondness for Julio Iglesias and the sounds of the 60s and 70s which played in the background on weekends while they did chores. She also enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, The Young and The Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, often discussing the latest episodes with her loved ones. A loyal supporter of the New York Yankees, she brought her enthusiasm for baseball into family conversations.

Nereida had a playful spirit, especially on April Fools' Day, when she loved to surprise her family with lighthearted pranks. Above all, she treasured the moments spent with her family, as they were the cornerstone of her happiness.

Nereida Jimenez will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
