He loved to sing
Nelious was born to Irine Horsley and Rayford Jackson October 5th,1955. He was the oldest of 5 children.In 1971 Nelious attended Eisenhower High school in Lawton, Oklahoma where he would meet the mother of his children and in 1972 they gave birth to Nelious Eugene Horsley Jr. 1972 is also when he joined the army and left to Fort Leonard wood, Missouri for basic training before being stationed at Fort Lewis. Nelious was Enlisted and completed four years of service with the US Army before being released from duty with an Honorable Discharge. He worked at the Ft.Lewis commissary for a few years before deciding to live out his dream as the lead singer of the “The Heartbeats” . In 1979 He and his wife gave birth to a daughter named Ranida Nicole Hanley. After his dream of being a singer did not work out he later did odd jobs until becoming disabled. Nelious decided he wanted a fresh start and moved to Medford,Oregon where he found stability and purchased his first home.He is preceded in Death by his parents Irine Horsley and Rayford Jackson and also his siblings Patrica Cooper and Clifford Horsley. Survived by His children Nelious Horsley Jr. ,Ranida Hanley and son in law Jason Hanley Sr. He is also survived by his siblings Gloria and Wilbert Horsley, an uncle, Seven grandchildren ,5 great grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.
