Nathan James Bertelson, age 61, passed away March 13, 2023 in his home in Council Bluffs, IA.
Nathan was born in Hawarden, IA, on June 27, 1961. He graduated high school with the class of 1979 from Missouri Valley High School. He attended Iowa Western Community College for two years and was employed at Lozier Corporation in Omaha, NE for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Eugene Bertelson, Jr., Nathan's wife, Nina Carlene Stewart Bertelson, of Council Bluffs, IA. who passed away November, 2022, his paternal grandparents, Gene and Tricia Bertelson, of Missouri Valley, IA and his maternal grandparents, Bert and Anna Dorff of Appleton, MN.
He is survived by his fiancé, Peggy Bertelson, his mother and step-father, Ruth and James Greene of Fayetteville, AR., his sister, Candice Runyon, of Iowa City, IA and Nina's children, Robin Daywalt, Diane Boren, Matt Sproul, and Amanda Bowman.
As per Nathan's wishes, no memorial services are planned. Memorials can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 9202 W. Dodge Rd, Omaha, NE 68114
