Nathan Houghtaling, lovingly known as Nate, peacefully passed away on June 20, 2024, at the age of 13. He was born on June 30, 2010, in Wantage, Sussex, NJ, and most recently resided in Sussex County, NJ.

Nate had a youthful spirit and a passion for various hobbies. He enjoyed spending his free time playing video games, fishing, and playing with his beloved cat. Chicken nuggets were always his favorite indulgence, and he reveled in the music of ICP and other lesser-known bands.

Although he had his quirks, Nathan had a unique way of expressing his care for others. His sense of humor often manifested as teasing or playful banter. He found joy in making people laugh and lightening the mood around him.

Nate's heart belonged to his younger sibling, Emmet, whose smile could always brighten his day. His basement served as a sanctuary, bringing him comfort and solace. The Walking Dead was among his favorite TV shows, and he found joy in playing pickleball, showcasing his skills on the court.

In his academic pursuits, Nathan excelled, taking honors classes in school and demonstrating a commitment to his education.

Nathan Houghtaling will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who loved him.
