Nancy loved spending time with her family, and especially her grandchildren. She loved singing in the church choir, playing golf, and creating memorable experiences with loved ones. Her children have fond memories of the family water skiing and spending weekends at Lake Lanier with friends from church.
Nancy played the piano, was an active participant in church, enjoyed singing in the choir. She spent 2 years in Germany as a Secretary with the American Red Cross prior to marrying Franklin Harris and starting a family.
Nancy Robertson Harris, born on July 2, 1937, in Tampa, Florida, passed away on December 8, 2024, in Sharpsburg, Georgia. She is remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her artistic talents, and her active participation in her community.
Nancy spent two years in Germany as a Secretary with the American Red Cross before marrying Franklin McDonald Harris on March 7, 1969, at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. Together, they raised two children, Valerie Kay Harris and Joel Alfred Harris, and cherished their roles as grandparents to George Squillario Jr., Matteo Squillario, and Gibson Harris.
Nancy’s passion for life was evident in her many interests. An avid singer, she found joy in her time with the church choir and played the piano with grace. She enjoyed playing golf and loved creating memorable experiences with her family. Her career as a paraprofessional in elementary school showcased her commitment to nurturing young minds and helping children learn. Her children share fond memories of the family water skiing and spending weekends at Lake Lanier with friends from church.
Known for her artistic and creative spirit, Nancy was also honest and forthright in her interactions with others. She was actively involved in her church, dedicating her time and talents to serve her community.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Franklin McDonald Harris, as well as her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and commitment that will be cherished by all who knew her.
