Nadine Kay White, born on July 25, 1960, in Lima, Ohio, passed away on July 4, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her vibrant spirit and deep love for her family.
Nadine, affectionately known as “Nate,” was passionate about crocheting, creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones. She had a remarkable gift for words, having read every book in the library during her youth, earning her the title of the human dictionary among her friends and family. Her culinary favorites included lasagna and meatloaf, which she often prepared for family gatherings.
A devoted music lover, Nadine cherished the sounds of Rick James and Tina Marie. She found joy in watching her favorite TV shows, including "Gone with the Wind," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Hoarders," and the culinary creations of Chef Gordon Ramsay and Brenda Gantt.
Nadine shared a special bond with her late husband, Donald E. “Tony” White, and together they cherished camping adventures. She was the proud mother of daughters Shalanda Klett, Patricia Haywood, and Desiree Haywood; sons Demetrieus Haywood and Robert Haywood Jr (deceased); stepdaughters Charlene Sanders Donna Cunningham and Charlotte White (deceased) ; and stepson Rooney Cartwright. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Anxious Bunley, Taja Haywood, Shylowe Klett, Makala McKinney, and Amilyah Smith-Haywood, as well as grandsons Quincy Klett and Jalen Haywood. She also leaves behind a great grandson, Malakai Downton, and a great granddaughter, A’nayli Williams, who tragically preceded her in death.
Nadine is survived by her father, Layne Crull, and her brother, Duston Webb. Her mother Janet Webb and brother Jayvee Crull preceded her in death. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her creativity, and her infectious spirit. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
