Motshegoa Maria Maria Moticoe (Nee Liphuko), affectionately known as Tshego or Ouma Tshego, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2024 in Mahikeng, at the age of 67. She was the only daughter of the late:Molehe Christian and Motshidisi Lydia Liphuko; born on July 15, 1956, in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

Motshegoa Maria spent most of her life in Batho location, where she was known for her warm and kind-hearted nature. She had a passion for reading, watching TV, and keeping fit at the gym, which brought her much joy and fulfillment.

Professionally, Motshegoa Maria had an impressive educational background. She completed her junior certificate at Sehunelo High School in 1972 and went on to obtain her senior certificate in 1978. She then pursued her passion for teaching and achieved her Primary Teachers certificate in 1975 from Batswana College of Education. Her dedication to education led her to complete her BA at Vista University in 1999.

Motshegoa Maria's teaching career spanned over 24 years at Tsholohelo School, where she made a significant impact on the lives of countless students. Her commitment to education and her ability to inspire young minds will be remembered by all those she taught and mentored throughout her career.

As a member of the St John's Methodist Church, she served on the following project/s:

• Itereleng Club, whose aim was to raise funds for the installation of air conditioning of the church

• St John's Methodist Social Relief and Development, whose aim is to provide social relief to the elderly and orphaned children
  
  She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Motshegoa Maria's legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
