Morgan Christian, 18, of West Columbia, West Virginia, passed on October 1, 2023. Morgan was born on April 10, 2005 to Randi Tennant and Josh Christian. Morgan graduated from Wahama Highschool in the Spring of 2023, then she continued her studies in the Fall of 2023 at Ohio University as an early education major. Morgan sadly passed in a fatal car crash on October 1. She was on her way to her job at Fox's Pizza where she was a waitress, when a drunk driver hit her head on. Morgan was apart of a big loving family, she had three sisters and four brothers. They would like everyone to remember her as a loving and hardworking person, who always tried her best in everything she did. Her sister Kalyn said that Morgan was her best friend and that she will forever hold onto the memories they shared together. One memory imparticicular she shared was winning the state championship softball tournament. It was Morgans senior year at Wahama and Kalyns sophomore year, they were both proudly part of the Lady Falcons softball team. Morgan was the starting third baseman and Kalyn was the starting shortstop. Their team was unstoppable with a winning record of 30-2, now it was off to the state tournament. Kalyn recalled that she was so nervous going into the game but that Morgan had reassured her. She said "Winning that tournament with my sister right beside me was the greatest feeling in the world, I felt like together we could do anything." Morgans mother and father said that she was a very hardworking and their proud of that fact. Morgan was in the top ten percent in her graduating class, and had two jobs while being in school. Morgans mother says that she never asked for money or allowance, she worked for everything she had. She was a waitress, a gas station casheer, and she went to school. Morgan really helped us out by being so driven. Morgans friends wants everyone to remember her as a good friend, someone who would always listen, give advice, take you out for ice cream if you were having a bad day. "Thats just the type of person she was." says Ella Edwards (One of Morgans closest friends) "She was a light, she always knew how to make you laugh, or how to cheer you up when you were sad. We all called her the 'mom' of our friend group because she would always make sure we were all taken care of before she would worry about herself. Its hard to find a friend like that, so Im glad I had Morgan."
Morgans Family would like to keep her memorial small, only friends and loved ones. We appreciate everyone who has reached out with condolences and kindness, thank you.
