Obituary for Mondjedzi Lufono Shamola**

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mondjedzi
Lufono Shamola, who left this world on December 27, 2025, in Bela
Bela. Mondjedzi was born on October 22, 1930, in Venda Thoyandou. She
was a loving mother and devoted sister, who touched the lives of many
through her kindness and spirit.

Mondjedzi is survived by her beloved daughters: Mary Shamola, Mmapula
Shamola, Sarah Shamola, and Mankoa Shamola. She is also survived by
her brother, Oupa Magitla. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Phatowane Shamola, and her daughter, Elisah Machiche.

Known for her strong spirit, Mondjedzi not only finished her grade 12
but also studied home-based care at Bela Bela College, showing her
commitment to helping others. She enjoyed community service and was
admired for her role in caring for family and friends in need.
Mondjedzi will be fondly remembered as a guiding light in the lives of
her loved ones. She embraced her faith wholeheartedly, often drawing
strength from her community and her beliefs, reflecting in her
peaceful character.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Friday, January 2,
2026, at 17:00. Friends and family are invited to attend. Prior to the
memorial service, a flower drop-off will take place on Thursday,
January 1, 2026, at 12:00. Please bring your own candle as we gather
to celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly suggest contributions to local charities
that support home-based care, reflecting Mondjedzi's passion for
helping others.

As we mourn her passing, we take solace in the joy she brought into
our lives and the love she continues to share from beyond. May her
soul rest in eternal peace.
