Milton Darnell Smith, of Houston Texas, passed away on February 25th, 2024, at the age of 63, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on December 28th, 1960, in San Dimas, California, to Edward and Jennie Smith.
At the age of 18, Milton made the bold decision to join the United States Army, embodying the motto to be all that he could be. After serving his country, he moved to Los Angeles to be closer to his daughter. Known for his love of sports, impeccable sense of style, and passion for travel, Milton earned the affectionate nickname "LA" during his time in the City of Angels. He had a penchant for capturing moments through his lens and cherished his conversations with his daughter, whom he fondly referred to as his best friend.
Milton's greatest joy in life was his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. Survived by his two daughters, Kimmeka (Brian Sr.) and Terriona, along with his son, Reginald, Milton also leaves behind a multitude of grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life: Rodney, Brian Jr., A’yona, Acasia, Ma’khi, Braylin, Reanna, Rylee, Reginald Jr., Sa’khiya, Briann, and Brayon. He is also survived by his brothers Curtis and James, sister Barbara, father L.D. Williams Sr., and a host of nieces and nephews, with special mention of "Whitney and Cristin," who held a unique place in his heart.
In the loving memory of Milton, he is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Jennie, and siblings Theresa, Edward Jr., and Michael. Family and friends will always cherish Milton's storytelling, infectious laughter, and his genuine smile that brightened the lives of those around him.
A celebration of Milton's life will be held on March 9th, 2024, at Pryority Funeral Experience on Bammel North Houston Road in Houston, Texas. His funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM as we gather to honor a man who touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness.
Milton Darnell Smith's journey may have come to an end, but the love he shared and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Milton, your spirit will always be with us.
