Education
Michelle graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1973 and attended business school in Portland, Oregon. She earned her associate degree from Columbia Basin Community College and her bachelor's degree from Columbia Southern University in 2016.
Diagnosis
Michelle was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Knitting
Michelle knitted baby blankets for each of her 21 grandchildren and additional Afghans as high school graduation gifts. She arranged for others to complete the remaining Afghans when she could no longer knit.
Retirement
Michelle retired in August 2020 so she could spend her remaining time with her family after her condition worsened.
Survivors
Michelle is survived by a brother, two sisters, her husband, three children, five step-children, twenty-one grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
