Michael “Mike” Weston Dowell, 73, of Houston, Texas, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on January 19, 2025. Born on June 23, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Joetta “Jodi” and Uzelle “Bill” Dowell,
Mike graduated from Waltrip High School in 1969 and after studied Fine Arts at the University of Houston.He worked as a piping designer for over 30 years at many different companies in the Houston area. Mike was a car nut who was never without a project car (or two, or three) in the garage. He enjoyed road trips on his Harley, car shows, and hanging out with friends and family. Mike took in anyone he met that needed a hand and never asked for anything in return. He was a kind and gentle soul.
Mike is survived by his son and daughter in law Weston and Tammie Dowell and daughter and son in law Allison and Rob McGrew, grandchildren Lillian, Keegan, Joetta, Thorn, and Damion. He is predeceased by his wife, Susan, and parents, Jodi and Bill Dowell.
Per Mike’s request there will be no memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Trinity Hospice.
