Michael Rene Laliberté, known throughout as "Yukon," passed away on September 5, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on August 12, 1960, in Waterbury, CT, Michael lived his entire life in the city he loved.

A proud graduate of Kaynor Technical School, Michael built a successful career as a toolmaker. His strong work ethic and dedication to his craft were evident to all who knew him. Michael was an amazing guitarist and was a part of some great bands throughout his lifetime. Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, particularly his immense love for music and spending quality time with friends at 840 Tavern, where his infectious laughter and witty humor were always welcomed.

Michael is survived by his children, Jason Laliberté and Renee Thielke along with two grandchildren , as well as his cherished mother, Patricia Laliberté. He is also mourned by his brother, Roger Laliberté, and sister-in-law, Loretta Laliberté, along with his nieces, Belinda Perez and Amanda Laliberté. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Laliberté.

Known for his funny and light-hearted spirit, Michael often lightened the mood with his favorite saying, “That ain’t right.” His larger-than-life personality and love for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
