Michael Miles Batdorf, lovingly known as Mike, passed away on May 2, 2024, at the age of 65 in his hometown of Akron, OH. He was born on February 2, 1959, in Wooster, OH, to his beloved mother Janice.
Mike was a dedicated electrician by profession, and his expertise was highly regarded within his field. He took great pride in his work and achieved many career accomplishments throughout his life.
In his free time, Mike found solace in watching historical documentaries, expanding his knowledge and deepening his love for learning. He had an incredible gift for trivia, often answering almost every Jeopardy question correctly, much to the amazement of those around him.
His passion for Pink Floyd's music was undeniable, and their melodies brought him joy and comfort throughout the years. Mike had an appreciation for good food, particularly his favorite dishes like meatloaf, his wife's baked spaghetti, and homemade sausage gravy.
Above all, Mike cherished his family. He was married to his beloved wife Laurie Batdorf "Trusky" until her passing in 2019, and he longed to reunite with her once again. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Josh Batdorf and Randi Garrett 'Batdorf", who brought immense pride and joy to their lives. Mike was also a cherished father-in-law to Tom Garrett.
He had 6 Wonderful grandchildren: Titan, Warren, Wesley, Vincent, Arora, and Patience. Their happiness and achievements meant the world to him.
Known for his kind heart, humor, and intelligence, Mike had a profound impact on the lives of those who knew him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need and approached life with a generous spirit.
Mike's favorite place in the world was wherever he was surrounded by his family. Their love and companionship brought him immeasurable happiness and fulfillment.
He will be deeply missed by his children and and grandchildren along with many other family members and friends who were touched by his presence.
As Mike joins his beloved Laurie in eternal rest, his legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
