He was a really good football player until he got injured. My grandparents gave me a scrapbook filled with newspaper articles about my dad. He had a house filled with fish tanks, mostly salt water, tanks He had blowfish, seahorses, eels and many others. I donated his tanks and fish to Floating Sea Aquatics in Jacksonville. You can go there to see his fish and tanks.

Michael Joseph Monda, born on March 27, 1963, in Brick Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, in Saint Augustine, Florida. He was a beloved father to three daughters and a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren, who will forever remember his laughter and love.
Mike, as he was affectionately known, was not only a dedicated plumber and aquarist but also a man of many passions. He found joy in fishing, kayaking, surfing, diving, and cooking for family and friends. His love for food was evident in his favorites, including ice cream, brownies, prime rib, and anything Italian, particularly lasagna with Sunday sauce.
An avid sports enthusiast, Mike had a deep appreciation for football and baseball. His love for the game was matched only by his enthusiasm for music, with favorite bands like Metallica, Whitesnake, and Guns N’ Roses echoing through his home.
Known for his humor and compassion, Mike was a hardworking and creative individual who touched the lives of many. He was especially proud of his extensive collection of saltwater fish, which he passionately cared for until his passing. Donations of his beloved fish and tanks to Floating Sea Aquatics in Jacksonville ensure that his aquatic friends continue to thrive.
A lover of the beach, Mike found comfort in the sand and surf, often hosting cookouts filled with laughter and good food, bringing friends and family together. He was a loyal supporter of Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, reflecting his generous spirit.
In his downtime, Mike enjoyed the animated humor of The Simpsons and created lasting memories through his love of playing pool. He is remembered not just for his skills on the field as a former football player, but for his kind heart and sociable nature that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Michael Joseph Monda will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
