Obituary

Michael McNaughton, a devoted son, husband, father, and friend, passed away having lived a life defined by loyalty, growth, and deep gratitude for the people around him. Raised in Glenview, Illinois, Michael’s foundation was built on family. From an early age, he understood that success meant little without people to share it with. That belief guided him for the rest of his life.

Michael attended Loyola Academy, where he played football and lacrosse. Sports were more than competition to him—they were a training ground for perseverance, discipline, and leadership. Being part of a team shaped his character and instilled in him a lifelong commitment to resilience and camaraderie.

He continued his education at Miami University, where he embraced every opportunity for involvement. He formed lifelong friendships, studied abroad, and graduated with a degree in Finance and Entreprenuership. He believed deeply in curiosity, and learned not only through books, but through experience.

Professionally, Michael began his career in finance in Chicago, eager to learn within a corporate environment and develop the skills necessary to one day build something of his own. He valued working with people and sought purpose in his career, eventually starting his own company. To him, success was not just measured financially but by the impact left on those around him.

His proudest achievement was not professional, but it was the opportunity to build a family. Michael often said his greatest goal was to provide for his wife and children the same way his parents had provided for him. He carried immense gratitude for his parents and worked every day to make them proud. He wanted his children to feel the same security, opportunity, and love that he was fortunate to receive. He leaves behind his 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Those who knew Michael remember him as motivated, adventurous, and dependable. He sought growth relentlessly, but never at the expense of the people he loved. He will be deeply missed.
