Michael died surrounded by his family on

April 19, 2025 

Left to cherish his memory are his first wife Jennifer Flynn Hatcher Shepherd, wife of 20 years Heather Forbes Hatcher 

His beloved children; Micah Hatcher preceded in death January 8th 2020.

His beloved grandchildren;

Hayden, Harrison, Indigo, Kyla, Daquez, Oliver, Ki’ontre as well as a granddaughter who will join our family in June.

His parents who preceded him in death:

Father: Michael Hatcher Sr.

Mother: Dorthy Mae Hooker 

His brother Christopher Reed (Saprina) 

Other survivors: Many cousins & uncles & aunts. 

Finally his life long best friend Rodney Barker, as well as a very long list of many friends he made throughout his life..far too many to mention them all. 

Michael will be remembered for his kindness, even to a stranger. He enjoyed fishing on the riverbank, or anywhere in general. He was an avid gardener. He always had many funny & witty sayings, & his love of a “punny” joke. 

He will be missed deeply by everyone who knew & loved him.
