Michael J. Sullivan, born on February 10, 1939, in Richmond, California, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Redding, California. A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Michael dedicated his life to serving his country and cherished his role as a loving father and family man.

Michael will be remembered for his deep love of reading, his devotion to his dogs, and more recently, his cat. He had a particular fondness for Mexican food, steaks, and homemade meals, which often brought his family together. A faithful fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he enjoyed cheering for his team during games and sharing those moments with loved ones.

He is survived by his life partner, Linda Slater, and his children: daughter Christina Tresca-Slater, sons Charles "Chuck" Slater and Lorenzo Valencia, granddaughter Heather Cortinas, granddaughter Alexis "Lexi" Tresca, and great-grandson Ruben Cortinas, all from Anderson, California. Michael was affectionately known as "Papa" by his family, who he loved above all.

His proudest accomplishments were his family and the bonds he created throughout his life. Michael's legacy of love and pride will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
