Michael Everett

Michael Everett was born on July 13, 1953, in New York, New York, and peacefully passed away on February 4, 2026, in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Michael lived life with resilience, humor, and a whole lot of heart. A true survivor, he faced life’s challenges with determination, never allowing obstacles to define him or keep him down. He often said, “Time will always tell the story,” and he lived in a way that proved exactly that.

More than anything, Michael was proud of his children. His daughters—Molonda Everett, Mia Phillips, and Shanea Everett—were his greatest accomplishments and his deepest joy. He was also a proud grandfather to Omar Everett, who brought him great pride and happiness. Michael is also survived by his loving sister, Mary Roy who lovingly supported him and stood by his side till the very end.

If you knew Michael, you know he loved to laugh. He had a natural charm about him and truly never met a stranger. He loved telling jokes, and making people smile. He also loved to cook and entertain—nothing made him more content than preparing a meal, gathering people together, and enjoying good food, laughter, conversation, and most of all music. He had an incredible heart.

Though he is no longer with us physically, his laughter and his love will continue to live on through his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be deeply missed, never forgotten and always loved…
