Was a Perryton Ranger through and through. He played Quarterback and Safety for the Football Team. He graduated in 1965 and married his High School Sweetheart Prescilla Ann Swink. Working his way through college, he graduated from West Texas State University with a degree in Agricultural Business.
W.R.Grace, Berry Grain Elevator and The Outhouse, Rancher, insurance Salesman, his favorite job was working at retired.

Michael Dartie Sanders, or just Mike, was born August 18, 1947, in Nocona, Texas, to Johnson Dartie Sanders and Juanita Hopkins Sanders.
Raised in Nocona, Texas, he played baseball on the Nocon a Boot Factory team, rode his horse, Honey and hunted up and down the creeks. The family moved to Perryton, during 8th grade. He played as the quarterback and safety for the Ranger football team. In 1965, he graduated and married his High School Sweetheart, Prescilla Ann Swink. Mike worked his way through college, ultimately earning a degree in Agricultural Business from West Texas State University.
Throughout his life, Mike held various professions, including working at W.R. Grace, Berry Grain Elevator, and owner/operator of The Outhouse. He sold all types of insurances from 1984 until he retired. However, his favorite job was being a rancher. In his later years, he found joy in working at being retired.
Mike was a loving father to his children, Shayne of Perryton and Misty Rice and husband Don of Aledo. He adored his grandchildren, including granddaughter Kyleigh Benton and her husband Austin, grandson Brady Sanders of Lubbock. Mike was also blessed with great-grandsons, Beckett and Brooks Benton.
In addition to his immediate family, Mike is survived by his siblings, Mackie Wood and Danny Sanders. He was preceded in death by his sister Keri Nelson.
Mike will be remembered for his dedication to his family and his unwavering commitment to his loved ones. His kind heart and warm spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace, Michael Dartie, youwill forever be treasured by those whose lives you touched.
