Michael Anthony Long, known to his loved ones as Mike, passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 54. He was born on April 24, 1969, and leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories.
Mike had a zest for life and an adventurous spirit. He found solace and joy in spending time outdoors, particularly engaging in his favorite hobbies of fishing, reading, and cooking. His passion for food extended beyond the kitchen, as he loved indulging in Italian, Colombian, Cuban, and Greek cuisine.
A native New Yorker, Mike regarded the bustling streets of the city as his favorite place in the world. He found comfort in the vibrant energy and diverse culture that surrounded him. Baseball also held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the moments spent cheering on his favorite teams (Nationals and Yankees).
Professionally, Mike achieved great success as a Safety Director, ensuring the well-being of those around him. His dedication and commitment to keeping others safe will always be remembered.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Caicedo, who will forever carry his love and spirit with her. He is also remembered by his sisters, Theresa Reinle and MaryEllen Wismer.
Those who knew Mike will remember him for his quick wit, ambitious nature, and infectious personality. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh and engage in lively conversations. His bravery and confidence were truly commendable, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
