Michael Andrew King, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 61. He was born on January 12, 1963, in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Fair Lawn, NJ, and most recently resided in Palm Coast, FL.
Michael was a man of many passions and enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and rewatching Star Trek. He had an eclectic taste in music, appreciating various genres. His favorite foods included pulled pork, cheesecake, beef skewers and pizza; all of which he perfected in the kitchen.
Nothing brought Michael more joy than spending time with his dogs and cherished family. He held a special place in his heart for Cornwallville, New York, which he considered his favorite place. In his leisure time he cheered on the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Katherine (nee: Veraldo), and their children, Thomas (Kara) King and Erin King. He also leaves behind his adored grandson, Owen Andrew MacGregor, and his siblings Colman (Susan) King, John (Teresa) King, Ann (Carl) Mohrin, and Helen (Peter) Grimes. Michael was predeceased by his parents, Anna (Egan) and John King, his brother Maurice (Kimberly) King, and his sister-in-law Dorris King. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
During his career, Michael worked as a UPS driver for over 35 years, a testament to his dedication and hard work. He was recognized for his outstanding achievements, including being inducted into the prestigious Circle of Honor for 25 years of safe driving. Additionally, he proudly served as a Army Reservist of the 800th Military Police Brigade, Orangeburg, NY and was a valued member of UPS Teamster Local 177.
Michael's legacy extends beyond his professional accomplishments. He will be remembered for his love, warmth, and devotion to his family and friends. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Rest in peace, Michael Andrew King. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
