Mercedes Angel Barrett-Rodriguez, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, passed away on February 16, 2024, at the age of 29. She was born on August 10, 1994, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to her proud parents.

Mercedes resided in Richmond, VA, where she built a life filled with love and joy. Her greatest passion was being a Mom to her cherished children. Mercedes found immense fulfillment and purpose in caring for others and dedicated herself to her profession as a Labor and Delivery nurse.

Family was at the center of Mercedes's world. She treasured her time spent with loved ones, creating precious memories and fostering deep connections. Her unwavering love and kindness touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her husband Anthony Rodriguez, children, Camia, Cadrew, Justin, and Hazel Barrett-Rodriguez and siblings Dwight Barrett Rashaagyn Barrett Mystery Barrett, Antonio Barrett, and Victoria Barrett.

Mercedes Angel Barrett-Rodriguez leaves behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
