In Loving Memory of Melanie Lynne Capo
Melanie Lynne Capo, age 53, passed away on August 14, 2026. Born in Dallas, Texas, Melanie leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, unforgettable memories, and a home that was always open to anyone who walked through its doors.
Melanie is survived by her beloved husband, Keith Capo, and her children and grandchildren: Brandon Bough and wife Larisa Bough, and their children Wesley and Brooklyn; Matthew Bough and wife Danielle Bough, and their children Kathleen and Samantha; Christopher Capo and partner Anna Jones; Shane McKenzie and wife Mia Vasquez, and their children Leonidas and Salem; and Alexis Lynam and husband Mark Lynam, and their children Slayde, Devin, and Oliver.
She is also survived by her parents, Major and Mary Davis, and her siblings, Holly Davis and Charles Bishop.
Melanie had a heart for animals and was especially devoted to her dogs. She loved music, puzzles, and Mexican Train, but anyone who knew her knew there was one thing she took very seriously: Spades. She could—and would—destroy anyone and everyone who dared to sit across from her at the table.
But perhaps what Melanie will be remembered for most was the way she loved people. She welcomed everyone who came into her home and accepted people exactly as they were. Her house was a gathering place filled with laughter, music, stories, games, and, more often than not, a healthy amount of chaos. Melanie didn’t just tolerate the chaos her family and friends brought with them—she lived for it.
She found happiness in watching the people she loved have a good time. Her home was a place where people could come together, be themselves, and feel accepted. The memories made within those walls will carry her love forward for years to come.
Melanie’s life was filled with the people, animals, music, laughter, and beautiful chaos that she loved so dearly. She will be deeply missed, fiercely remembered, and forever loved by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
