In Loving Memory of Megan Lynn Edwards
Megan Lynn Edwards, age 53, of Rockport, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2025. She was born on March 22, 1972, in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Megan was a deeply loved and remarkably gifted woman who brought joy and color wherever she went. Megan and her dad especially had a special connection. She was a daddy’s girl at heart . Known as the life of the party, her vibrant spirit and spunky personality lit up every room she entered. She lived with a free heart, full of love for everyone around her, and devoted herself fully to her son, Isiah, as well as her beloved nieces and nephew.
She cherished the simple joys in life—sunny days spent swimming with her pool toys, the sound of ocean waves, and the beauty of the natural world. Her love for wildlife found a meaningful home at the Wings Rescue Center in Rockport, where she volunteered for several years and cared for native birds, including her cherished raptor, Rocky.
Megan is survived by her son, Isiah James Edwards; Her Father Jimmie Edwards, Her Mother Nellie Edwards, her brother, James Edwards, and sister-in-law, Brooklyn Edwards; nieces and nephew Briley, Korley, Nasario, Natalie, and Naubrie; and many beloved extended family members including Uncle Babe and Melba, Aunt Brenda, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Richard and Marsha, as well as special cousins Tracy Lang, Kerry Farson, and many others who will carry her memory with love.
Megan is also survived by her best friends and closest friends .
She was preceded in death by her sister, Stacia, her grandparents, and her favorite cousin Jim Earl who no doubt greeted her with open arms when she got to that gateway of Heaven.
Memorial service details are pending and will be shared with loved ones at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that all floral arrangements and heartfelt messages be sent to Megan’s mother:
