Maybelle Tomlin (Koehler), a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on May 7, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on March 7, 1932, in Detroit, MI, and had been residing in Sterling Heights, MI.

Maybelle was a vibrant woman who enjoyed life to the fullest. Some of her favorite hobbies included bowling, playing cards, and trying her luck at slot machines. She had a passion for Lebanese food and delighted in watching John Wayne movies. Baseball was also a sport she loved.

In her professional life, Maybelle worked at General Motors, skillfully handling expense accounts. However, her proudest accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Maybelle was married to James Gerald Koehler until his passing in 1979, and later to William Tomlin until his passing in 2001. She was preceded in death by her children James R. Koehler and Terry Lynn Koehler. Maybelle is survived by her beloved children: Gerald (Beverly) Koehler, Linda (Patrick) Oliver, Janice Koehler, and Thomas (Carri) Koehler. Grandchildren Angela (Boaz) Moala, Michele (Steven) Christiansen, Bryan(Natasha) Jackson, James (Eliza) Oliver, Matthew (Amanda) Jackson, Jessica Koehler M.D., and Thomas (TJ) Koehler Ph.D. Great grandchildren Cayden and Caylee, Johnathan and Maybelle, Kip and Victoria, Maddison and Landon, and finally, Carter and Cassandra respectively.

Maybelle was also a cherished sister to Ralph Thomas, Ron (Lois) Thomas, and Richard Thomas. Her happy and social nature made her a beloved presence in the lives of her family and friends.

Maybelle Tomlin (Koehler) will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and joy she brought into the lives of those around her.
