Max Smith
December 23, 2018 – August 11, 2026
With broken hearts and an immeasurable amount of love, we say goodbye to our beloved Max Smith, a cherished member of our family whose presence brought comfort, protection, and unconditional love into our lives.
Max came into our family on December 23, 2018, when he was adopted as a Christmas gift for his father, Malik Smith. What began as a Christmas gift quickly became something so much more. Max became a son, a brother, a protector, and a beloved part of our family.
Max was laid-back, well-mannered, and incredibly observant. He had a calm spirit and always seemed to know what was happening around him. But underneath that gentle personality was a fiercely loyal protector. Max was especially protective of Aquanetta, always keeping a watchful eye over her and making sure she was safe.
Max also had a very special bond with his beloved companion, Molly Smith. He loved Molly dearly and made sure no one bullied her. He was always there to protect her, proving that his heart was just as big as his presence in our home.
He shared his home and his life with his siblings, Pepper Smith, his cat brother, and Woody Smith, his cat brother. Together, they were part of the family Max loved so deeply.
Max loved the simple things in life, especially being rubbed and receiving affection from the people he loved. Those quiet moments of love and companionship are memories we will hold onto forever.
Max leaves behind his loving father, Malik Smith; grandfather, Michael Smith; grandmother, Ruby Smith; aunties, Maya, Keywanda, and Trianna; uncles, Keymon and Michael Jr.; siblings Pepper Smith (cat) and Woody Smith (cat); and his beloved companion, Molly Smith.
Today, we will say our final goodbye as Max is laid to rest at Perpetual Memories, where he will forever have a special place in our hearts.
Max, you were never “just a dog.” You were family. You were loved. You were our protector. You were a comforting presence in our home and a loyal friend who never asked for anything except love—and maybe a good rub.
You protected Aquanetta.
You protected Molly.
You watched over your family.
And now, it is time for you to rest.
Run free, sweet Max. 🐾
May you chase endless butterflies, feel the warm sunshine on your face, and never know pain again. Give our love to every dog waiting for us on the other side.
Your paws may no longer walk beside us, but the love you gave us will remain forever.
Rest peacefully, Max Smith.

Forever our boy. Forever our protector. Forever in our hearts.❤️🐾
Until we meet again.
