Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as she later established and managed her own beauty and wig shops in Norfolk, VA, becoming a cherished member of the local business community.

Yet, it was in the warmth of her home where Maureen's heart truly resided. A devoted mother to her two sons, Laurence "Billy" Duncan III and Shawn Givens, and an adoring grandmother to Bronwyn and Ellison Givens Loovere, she found her greatest joy in nurturing her family. Her Sunday mornings were a symphony of aromas, as she delighted in experimenting with new gourmet recipes, infusing love into every dish.

Maureen's zest for life extended beyond the kitchen, as she embraced an active lifestyle with vigor. Whether it was the competitive spirit of tennis or the endurance of the rock and roll marathon, she lived each moment with passion and determination.
