Mrs. Mattie Lula Crofford , age 108 of LaPorte, formerly of Crockett, passed away October 20, 2022.
Mrs. Crawford was born January 08, 1914 to Matthew and Georgia Ash Crofford in Houston County, Texas. Mrs. Womack was a homemaker and member of the South Loop Church of Christ.
Survivors include her children Joyce Stuart, of Houston, Louise Oliver, of Irving, Bonnie Vess and husband Oscar, of Gun Barrel City, Sandra Buckmiller, of LaPorte and Tony Womack and wife Susie, of Deer Park; 29 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Doris Hallmark, of Fort Worth and Mary Lee Vaden, of Austonio; extended family O. C. Cardenas, of Latexo; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Preceded in death by her husband Ben L. Womack; son Beamon Womack and wife Geri; son Huland Womack; and daughter Pearl Etheridge. Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Lula Crofford Womack were held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Mike Gibson officiating.
