Matthew was born in Warner, Alberta, and spent his formative years there, surrounded by a loving family. He was known for his infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature. Matthew had a passion for music, spending countless hours playing his guitar and singing along to his favorite songs.

As he grew older, Matthew's love for nature blossomed. He found solace in the outdoors, often exploring the scenic landscapes of Alberta. His adventurous spirit led him on countless hiking and camping trips, where he felt closest to the world around him.

Matthew will be deeply missed by his family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. He leaves behind his parents, siblings, and a wide circle of friends whose lives he touched with his warm smile and caring nature.

A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Matthew's life and honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Matthew's name to a local environmental organization, as a tribute to his love for nature.
