Our condolences to the family and loved ones of Matt Sweets, a 2011 BSBA in Marketing graduate of the University of Louisville College of Business. Yesterday, Matt tragically succumbed to critical burn injuries sustained in the UPS plane crash on Tuesday evening. He is survived by his loving partner, Brooke Murray, and their two children. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the entire UPS community.
"Matt lived with love, humility and quiet strength," shared Carrie Ryan, his sister and 2013 UofL graduate in Accounting. "He was a devoted father, a loving partner, a caring son and the best big brother anyone could ask for. He had a way of making everyone feel seen and cared for. Our hearts are shattered, and we’re struggling to grasp that he’s truly gone," she said.
