Mary Louise Wilson, born on November 17, 1940, in Silsbee, TX, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024, in Silsbee, Texas. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church under the spiritual guidance of Reverend Michael Porter. Mary served faithfully as a trustee, coordinator of pastor aid, and member of the mission board. She was actively involved in various community services and organizations, including The Lions Club and The Birthday Girls Club.

Mary was an educator and bus driver, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. She graduated from Waldo Matthew High School and pursued higher education at UCLA.

She will be dearly missed by her surviving family members: three brothers, Leonard Atkins of Silsbee, Michael Bluitt of Galveston, James Henderson of Texarkana; two sisters, Roberta Bogan of LaMarque, Winifred Victoria of Galveston; dedicated nephew, Bart Bluitt (Tilly) of League City, Dudley Bluitt of California; special granddaughter, Markita Wilson of Houston, devoted friends Rayanne George, Prince Neal, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard Wilson, stepmother Effie Bluitt, brothers Leroy Bluitt and Donald Atkin, sister Marine Bluitt, and uncle Johnny L. Lewis.

A service to honor and celebrate Mickey's life will be held at Faith Temple, 6088 Weathersby Ln, Silsbee, TX 77656, on April 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Proctor’s Mortuary in Silsbee, TX, is assisting with the funeral arrangements.
