Mary Lou Furrer, born on August 3, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, in Conroe, Texas. A dedicated beautician, Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including crocheting, solving puzzles, gardening, and fishing.
She cherished her family above all, and her warm heart and loving spirit will be profoundly missed. Mary had a special fondness for seafood and Mexican cuisine also her love for fresh vegetables, and she enjoyed the timeless melodies of Frank Sinatra, Lawrence Welk, BB King, Benny Goodman Band, Glen Miller Orchestra and the Big Bands from the '50s and '60s. Her favorite pastimes included watching shows like Kelly Clarkson, Pictionary, and HGTV, Hallmark Movies and cheering on her beloved Houston Astros.
Mary's life was filled with love and devotion to her family, which was her greatest pride. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob “Buddy” Furrer Sr., as well as her birth parents, James and Dorothy Sorensen, her adoptive parents, Robert and Madge Lammert, and her siblings Dorothy, Vernon, and unnamed twin sister, Dolores, along with Geraldine and Kathleen., and Her Daughter-In-Law Ricki Furrer.
She is survived by her five children: Jacob Jr. (Kathy) Furrer, Douglas (Belinda) Furrer, Phyllis (Patrick Sr.) Wells, Dorothy Furrer, and Mike Furrer.
Mary was also blessed with 16 grandchildren Jason Furrer, Tracy Furrer , Jacob lll (Melissa) Furrer, William (Jessica) Furrer, Adam (Rachel) Furrer, Cynthia (Cody) Beeston, Raquel (Travis) Hoffstot, Douglas Furrer ll, Rebecca Milligan, Patrick Wells Jr, Jacob Breshears (Amber Hammers), Mary (Lynn) Doyal, Barbara Breshears (Jason Raley) , Megan Diaz , Elisabeth Furrer, Jared Furrer
