Our family sadly lost an important member on April 11, 2024. Mary Lee Covin was the heart and soul of Jacksonville, Florida. Ms. Covin was presented a Certificate of Recognition by Abyssinia Missionary Baptist Church for being an outstanding mother by the grace of God. Additionally, in 2005 Ms. Covin was presented with The President's Volunteer Service Award recognizing and appreciating her commitment to making a difference through her volunteer service. In 2002 the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency recognized her for making a difference in the community. Jacksonville Mayor, John Delaney, presented Ms. Covin with an award for her exemplary service to the Jacksonville community in 1999. She shared her skills, wisdom, and her lifetime of experience as a volunteer.
