Born on March 30th in Gary Indiana she grew up in Chicago to become a remarkable woman. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her warmth and generosity. Her love knew no bounds, and she poured her heart into everything she did.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the embodiment of love and selflessness, and her presence brought joy to all those around her. Her home was a source of comfort and laughter, and she made every person feel welcomed and loved.

She was known for her love and passion for God and for spreading his word which brought joy to those around her. Her wisdom and guidance inspired many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Dr. LaTeasa Hicks, three grandchildren Shaynea (Terry) Willis, Stewart, Dylan, and great-grandson Dallas Willis, brother Andre (Kathy) Lawson, sister Marsha Rousier, host of nieces, and nephews, family, and friends who will carry on her legacy of love and strength. Proverbs 31:29-31….Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
