She was born and raised in Evansville, In and moved to Indianapolis with her husband and seven children in 1965. She was a member of Christ the King Church where she sang in the choir with her late husband, Lawrence Garvey for 42 years. She loved to dance, read, paint, sing and was an animal lover and had many various pets over the years. Over 100 family and friends attended her 100th birthday celebration in July, 2024. She will be missed by her large family of 7 children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
