Mary Hicks was born January 18, 1946, in Hanna, Louisiana to Jim Hicks and Estelle Jackson. Mary accepted Christ at a young age and was an active member at Neighborhood Baptist Church in Alexandria, La. Mary never met a stranger, will give you her last, and was loved by everyone she met. Her family meant everything to her and putting smiles on stranger's faces was her calling.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Hicks, Estelle Jackson, and Melvin Harris; son- James; brothers Albert Hicks, Melvin Harris, and Billy Harris; and grandson Raynell Hicks. She leaves to cherish her memory siblings- Johnny Harris, Shirley Harris Jones (Robert), Ruby Harris, and John Harris (Sharteer), three daughters- Barbara Hicks, Carolyn Hicks, and Temekia Hicks. Sons- Robert Hicks (Leona) and David Hicks. She was grandmother to Demetrius Hicks, Shalonda Hicks, Shondreca Hicks, Chasitie Hicks, Brianna Hampton, Xavier Harrell and Xcell Harrell. She leaves her love to a host of greatgrandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Her laughter, love for life, and love for people is something we will all cherish and miss. Get your rest and continue to watch over us.
