Marvin was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio on November 18th,1970 to Deloris and Eugene Simmons.

Marvin was always carefree, easygoing, and jovial guy. He loved football and accepted a scholarship to attend college to play football in Columbia SC. He resided in Columbia and lived with his loving Uncle Roger Wiley until he met and fell in love, with the Love of his life Arlene. For 33 wonder years until God decided to call him home. Upon the union was welcomed 3 beautiful daughters and 3 lovely granddaughters. He was affectionally known to them as their "PAWPAW".

A person of faith, Marvin loved God and carried his belief with him in all that he did. Marvin had many interests, including making those around him laugh, cooking, and sports.

He fought a good long fight. Marvin will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His loving memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were touched by his kindness, warmth, and joy for life.

Marvin leaves to cherish his precious memory his loving wife, caregiver, and best friend Arlene. His loving parents Deloris and Eugene Simmons of Cincinnati Ohio, His beautiful daughters Brittany, Anari, and Zaria, his 2 most precious Granddaughters who loved and cherished his smiles, treats, hugs, and love. His brother/best friend also twin Darnell Simmons from Cincinnati Ohio. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, whom will miss him dearly.
