Obituario

Marvin Louis Clark, the third son of Claude Clark and Marjorie Collins, was born on December 1, 1947, in Chattanooga, TN. He attended the Chattanooga Public School system and Howard High School.

Marvin served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War from 1966-1969. He served our country with distinction, earning several honorable medals, including two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for valor. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions in Vietnam, serving two tours of duty.

On November 6, 1968, Marvin married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Coats. To this union were born one daughter, Felecia Clark, and one son, Marvin Clark, who preceded him in death. Marvin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather (PaPa). He had a big heart and loved his family and friends deeply. He will truly be missed.

His only grandchild, Bryan Todd Harris (Boo Boo), was his pride and joy. Marvin was immensely proud of him and would always say, “That’s my boy!” He loved fishing, especially when accompanied by his grandson.

Marvin’s life was a testament to courage, strength, and willpower, including his battle with illness. He survived longer than the odds suggested and is an inspiration to all who knew him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Pat, who cared for and supported him through his many days of illness; his wonderful daughter and son-in-law, Felecia and Brian Harris; his grandson, Bryan; his siblings, Claudie (Frances), William, Johnny (Terrie), and Jackylon; two sisters-in-law, Ernestine and Mary; three brothers-in-law, Ossie (and cousin Linda), Dwight, and Willie D. (Bernice); two aunts, Sally Clark and Amie Dunigan; a dear family friend, Rhonda Childress Franklin; and a host of relatives and friends.

“We never lose those we love. They live on in our hearts.”

Paw Paw,

I miss you so much, but I know you are no longer in pain. I have enough memories of my PaPa to last me forever. We will continue to make memories together because you are now my guardian angel.

Love,

Your boy,

Bryan (Boo Boo
