Obituary
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marquis Knight Jr., who departed this life on July 20, 2026, at the age of 22.
Marquis was a beloved son, brother, twin brother, uncle, family member, and friend. His life was a blessing to those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Although his time with us was far too short, the memories he created and the love he gave will remain in the hearts of his family and loved ones forever.
Born on September 1, 2003, Marquis was a young man with dreams that reached beyond the sky. One of his greatest dreams was to become a pilot. He was on his way toward building that future, with hopes of one day earning his wings and taking flight.
God had another plan for his journey.
Marquis dreamed of gaining his wings, and God gave him heavenly wings.
Marquis will always be remembered for the dreams he carried, the future he envisioned, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His family will forever cherish the moments they shared with him—the conversations, laughter, smiles, memories, and simple moments that have now become priceless treasures.
Marquis leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Jovan Renee Reynolds; his father, Marquis Knight Sr.; his sister, Jamaya; his twin sister, Marquita Knight; and his three nephews, along with extended family, relatives, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his presence.
His bond with his twin sister, Marquita, was a special connection that will forever remain in her heart. His sisters will carry his memory with them, and his nephews will grow up knowing the love and legacy of their uncle.
Though Marquis is no longer physically with us, his memory will continue to live through the people who loved him. His family will continue to speak his name, share his story, celebrate the life he lived, and carry his love with them every day.
Friends and family are invited to come together to pay their respects and celebrate the life of Marquis Knight Jr. Leak & Son Funeral Home
