Marlene loved to cook. She would make her tourtiere every year at Christmas for her family. Having a slice of her mean meat pie was her way of giving her family a warm hug. Marlene had a strong sense of family and demand Sundays as her day for home-cooked meals. Marlene enjoyed painting and pottery. She was really good with scissors too as she would cut hair for many over her lifetime.
Marlene enjoyed eating schnitzel and pizza. Her favorite chicken was from Swiss Chalet. She looked forward to having Swiss Chalet in her final days. It always put a smile on her face dipping her chicken into the Swiss magic sauce.
Marlene absolutely loved her grand children. She would tell her daughter there was no better feeling than watching your own children have their children. Marlene always had a strong sense of pride with her grandchildren. She adored her daughter, Leslie and her son, Patrick.
Marlene 's favorite place in the world was her hometown Penetanguishene. She left as a teenager and always went back to visit her family.
