Mark E. “Markie” Block Jr.

July 28, 1982 – December 6, 2025

Mark E. Block Jr., lovingly known as “Markie,” passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 43. Born on July 28, 1982, Markie lived his life boldly, creatively, and with a heart that touched everyone lucky enough to know him.

A gifted tattoo artist, Markie was not only a creator of art—he was his own canvas. His face and body told the story of a man unafraid to express himself. Though some judged him at first glance, anyone who took the time to know him quickly discovered the truth: Markie had a heart of pure gold. He was the kind of friend who loved with his whole heart and the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet, or his last bite to eat without hesitation.

Markie cherished his family deeply and valued loyalty, kindness, and authenticity. His beautiful soul left an imprint on countless lives. Whether through his art, his humor, his generosity, or simply his presence, he made people feel seen, appreciated, and loved.

He is survived by his father, Mark E. Block Sr.; his brother, Justin Block; his sisters, Angelina Morgan and Christy Lollar; his grandmother, Valarie Holloway, his uncle, Edward Block, his uncle and aunt, Kenneth and Diane Block; his aunts, Debra Block, Kimberly and Randy Freeman, and Maggie Winkler; the love of his life; Melissa Angell, and many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever miss and remember him.

Markie’s spirit will live on in the stories shared, the art he created, and the hearts he touched.
